Between the 18 and the 20 April 2024, The University college of teacher education Vienna hosted Diversity in action – International Conference on Language Friendly Pedagogy, a DivA project multiplier event, gathering educators, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to discuss the latest developments in multilingual and multicultural education. The event emphasized the importance of equipping teachers with the skills needed to navigate culturally and linguistically diverse classrooms.
Participants from numerous countries shared their experiences, making for a vibrant exchange of ideas and insights. The conference featured many valuable contributions, including presentations, workshops, and discussions that highlighted current research and best practices in multilingual education. Among the highlights was a series of multilingual performances by local schoolchildren, which captivated attendees and showcased the power of language diversity in educational settings.
